“Sweet Caroline” Has Been Banned At Penn State Games Because Of The “Touching Me, Touching You” Lyric

“Sweet Caroline,” the Neil Diamond classic which Nittany Lions fans sometimes like to sing along to during games, won’t be played at the stadium this fall.

The reason? These lyrics:

Hands, touchin’ hands
Reachin’ out, touchin’ me touchin’ you
Sweet Caroline
Good times never seemed so good

In light of the Jerry Sandusky scandal, school officials apparently think the whole “touchin’” part of the song will be weird to sing.

Beaver Stadium? Hmm…

* Sweet Caroline
